Central Operations Supervisor

Aim Integrated Logistics is looking for a Central Operations Shift Supervisor.
In this position you will be expected to maintain effective communications with customers, and with a large fleet of local Drivers to ensure the timeliness of freight and equipment movement.
Manage equipment utilization to ensure even distribution of fleet miles and stops based on available freight tender.
Assign drivers to loads based on their HOS, projected ready time, and equipment need.
Provide regular updates and liaise between drivers, customers, and management team for active deliveries.
Interview and vet driver applicants for driver accounts based on current needs.
Develop weekly schedule for drivers based on forecasted volumes.
Manage conflict resolution with driver and operation issues and escalate as needed.
Monitor, analyze and provide feedback on fleet key performance indexes to meet or exceed performance measurements.
Monitor daily dispatch operations including driver/truck assignments, driver payroll, and productivity.
Monitor driver delivery performance utilizing OBC or other communication tools.
Ensure driver compliance and expectations with account requirements.
Report driver discipline issues to Department Manager and Corporate HR.
Resolve customer complaints and keep accurate notes to file on all account staff.
If necessary, recommend dismissal of underperforming or disruptive drivers.
Build relationship, mentor and work with operations and driver team members - focusing on decreasing turnover.
Participation in scheduled driver safety meetings.
Build rapport, develop trust and integrity with customers.
Other duties as required.

Experience in routing and basic dispatch techniques.
Excellent working knowledge of computers and analytical tools.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
