Internship Augmented Reality in Assembly

The intern will offer further support in achieving Altronic's company objectives of improving quality and throughput and determining the feasibility of augmented reality (AR) in panel assembly, developing a solution partner and establishing a lighthouse production cell utilizing AR. This person's primary goals will include researching use cases using AR for final assembly of control panels; determining the feasibility of the concept through business case modelling and identifying as well as developing a solution provider to assist in the preparation and rollout of the concept. Furthermore, the intern will implement lighthouse utilizing AR and measure the concept's impact on KPIs and use case opportunities to continue evaluating in a larger organization. Altronic is manufacturing both serial and custom control panels for the Oil & Gas industry. A project is under way to improve the quality of those schematics and drawings to allow for a more seamless transition between design engineering and assembly. To further support our objective to improve quality and throughput, we are checking on feasibility to utilize augmented reality via Google Glass (or alternatives) to access guided work instructions, document critical assembly steps, etc. The objective of this project is to determine feasibility of AR in panel assembly, develop a solution partner to assist in implementing the concept and establish a lighthouse production cell utilizing AR.
Applying skills obtained through universities in a real-life manufacturing environment
Having a direct reporting structure to keep action items on track
Learning to self-motivate in order to stay on track for specific assignments

Presentation skills (incl. several status update presentations in front of GPMO and management)
Use of SAP MRP system to collect data
Interfacing with management, engineers, and operators to learn to communicate effectively
Project Management

Basic understanding of ISO9001
Education: Pursuing a degree in Business, Industrial Management, Industrial Engineering or similar
Experience: 0-3 years

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
